Naturopathic Fatigue Treatment in Edmonton

Our Naturopathic Doctors have mastered treatment of fatigue

Low energy and fatigue is the most common concern seen at our Edmonton Naturopath Clinic.  We have experience with even the most complicated cases of low energy as well as Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Our Naturopaths will look at deficiencies and hormone levels to pin-point why your energy is low.

Adrenal issues are extremely common causes of fatigue we see in our Edmonton patients as well as Thyroid dysfunction.

Our Naturopathic Doctors also assess for more complicated causes of fatigue such as: deficiencies, energy production dysfunction, viral Infections (like Epstein-Barr) as well as, toxicities such as mercury toxicity or bromine toxicity.

Bromine toxicity is an issue that can interfere with and cause symptoms of hypothyroidism despite normal thyroid lab tests - our Naturopaths see this frequently in Alberta.

IV Therapy is available as an aggressive fatigue treatment option.

Mercury toxicity is also a common issue that typically arises in those with current or past mercury dental amalgums. We evaluate this with a heavy metals urine test.

Viral infections are an overlooked cause of fatigue especially in young adults. Epstein-barr and HHV-6 are common culprits we find in blood testing.

Our Naturopaths can run organic acid testing which can be helpful to infer energetic dysfunction.

We always check comprehensive Thyroid status (TSH, FT3, FT4, TPO).

Our NDs typically run salivary hormones (often DHEA and Cortisol) to assess Adrenal status. Cortisol testing can be as a 4-point test to see Cortisol trends through the day.

We may also do deficiency testing to uncover hidden deficiencies.

Our Edmonton Naturopath clinic offers a large range of option to improve your energy.

IV Therapy are typically used if standard workups are unremarkable.

Viral infections are usually dealt with oral anti-virals as well as IV Therapy.

Viral fatigue is often a stubborn condition to heal from, however, in our Naturopaths' experience, benefits are often quickly seen as treatment commences.

Thyroid and Adrenal issues are usually dealt with herbs, and other natural preparations such as Adrenal Glandular extracts.

However, our Naturopaths may suggest and refer for Desiccated Thyroid, Cytomel (t3) and Cortef (hydrocortisone) when bio-identical options are needed through referrals to collaborative health professionals.

Beat Fatigue Naturally — IV Therapy & Naturopathic Medicine in Edmonton

If you’re constantly running on empty, it’s time to recharge from the inside out. At TruMed Naturopathic Clinic in Edmonton, our naturopathic doctors specialize in uncovering the root causes of fatigue — whether it’s iron deficiency, mitochondrial burnout, or nutrient depletion — and rebuilding your energy with advanced IV Therapy, Iron Infusions, and NAD+ treatments that get results.

Why IV Therapy Works for Fatigue

IV therapy is one of our specialties, with over 15,000 IV treatments delivered in Edmonton. By bypassing the digestive system, IV drips deliver 100% bioavailable nutrients directly into your bloodstream, giving you faster, stronger, and more predictable results than oral supplements.

Our naturopaths design each IV protocol based on your bloodwork, symptoms, and energy demands, helping you recover from fatigue, burnout, and brain fog more effectively than through oral therapies alone.

IV Iron Therapy — Restoring Vitality at the Cellular Level

If fatigue is leaving you drained, iron deficiency might be the culprit — even when standard lab results look “normal.” Iron is essential for red blood cell production and oxygen delivery to your muscles and brain, meaning low iron equals low energy.

At TruMed Clinic, our IV iron infusions rapidly correct iron deficiency and restore hemoglobin levels, especially for:

  • Women with heavy menstrual cycles

  • Pregnancy-related anemia

  • Athletes with high training demands

  • Patients with absorption issues (Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease)

  • Post-surgery or chronic illness recovery

Benefits of IV Iron:

  • Fast-acting energy restoration

  • Improved concentration and mood

  • Sustained results for months after treatment

  • Gentle on digestion with minimal side effects

Most patients report a significant energy boost within 1–2 weeks of their infusion. Treatments take about 60 minutes in our relaxing Edmonton IV suite, with your naturopathic doctor monitoring each step.

NAD+ IV Therapy — Cellular Energy and Mitochondrial Repair

When you’re tired even after sleeping well, the problem may lie in your mitochondria — your body’s cellular powerhouses. NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is the key molecule that fuels mitochondrial energy production. Levels naturally decline with age, stress, and chronic illness, leading to fatigue, poor focus, and slower recovery.

Our NAD+ IV therapy floods your cells with bioavailable NAD+, helping to:

  • Boost ATP (energy) production

  • Enhance focus and mental clarity

  • Support healthy aging and DNA repair

  • Reduce fatigue from burnout or chronic stress

  • Improve exercise recovery and endurance

NAD+ infusions are often part of our fatigue and longevity protocols, customized for each patient. Many Edmontonians describe NAD+ IVs as “life-changing,” with noticeable improvements in motivation and energy after just a few treatments.

Vitamin Drip IV Therapy — Instant Nutrient Recharge

For those feeling depleted, our Myers’ Cocktail remains one of Edmonton’s favorite IV drips for fatigue. It delivers a potent blend of B vitamins, magnesium, calcium, and vitamin C — nutrients critical for energy metabolism, stress tolerance, and nervous system health.

We often pair the Myers’ with Glutathione (the body’s master antioxidant) to combat oxidative stress, or Vitamin C to support immune and adrenal function — both common fatigue triggers.

Common energy-focused IVs at TruMed include:

  • Myers’ Cocktail: Restores energy and mood

  • High-Dose Vitamin C: Strengthens immunity and reduces oxidative stress

  • Glutathione Push: Detoxifies and supports recovery

  • NAD+ IVs: Revitalize cellular function and brain performance

  • Iron Infusions: Correct fatigue at the root cause

Naturopathic Medicine for Fatigue — Beyond the Drip

While IV therapy gives rapid results, our naturopathic doctors always look deeper. We perform advanced testing for thyroid function, hormone balance, nutrient deficiencies, and adrenal health, identifying the biochemical causes of your fatigue.

Your treatment plan may combine:

  • IV therapy for rapid energy restoration

  • Herbal and nutritional medicine for long-term support

  • Hormonal balancing and thyroid optimization

  • Functional nutrition and digestive health restoration
