  • Olga Muradov, NP — Iron Infusions, Hormone Replacement Therapy, and TRT in Edmonton

At TruMed, Olga Muradov brings together hospital-based clinical experience, advanced diagnostic precision, and a patient-centered approach to help patients access evidence-based care for iron deficiency, hormone optimization, and long-term wellness.

Today at TruMed, Olga applies this extensive clinical background to advanced outpatient therapies including iron infusions in Edmonton, TRT in Edmonton, and hormone replacement therapy in Edmonton.

    Iron Infusions in Edmonton

Olga leads TruMed’s Iron Infusion Therapy Program, helping patients access medically supervised intravenous iron treatment for iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia.

Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutritional deficiencies and can significantly affect energy, cognition, exercise tolerance, and overall quality of life. Many patients experience persistent symptoms long before severe anemia appears on routine bloodwork.

  • Common symptoms of iron deficiency may include:

    • Fatigue or low energy

    • Brain fog or poor concentration

    • Shortness of breath with exertion

    • Hair shedding or brittle nails

    • Restless legs

    • Headaches

    • Reduced exercise tolerance

    • Dizziness or lightheadedness

For many patients, oral iron supplements can be slow, poorly tolerated, or ineffective. Intravenous iron bypasses the digestive tract and allows for more rapid replenishment of iron stores.

Who May Benefit From Iron Infusion Therapy?

Olga carefully assesses each patient using symptoms, medical history, and laboratory markers to determine whether IV iron is appropriate.

Iron infusions may be considered for patients with:

    • Confirmed iron deficiency or iron deficiency anemia

    • Intolerance to oral iron supplements

    • Poor absorption of oral iron

    • Ongoing blood loss (including heavy menstrual bleeding)

    • Low ferritin with fatigue, hair loss, or exercise intolerance

    • Gastrointestinal conditions affecting absorption

    • The need for faster correction of iron deficiency

    Benefits of Iron Infusions

When properly indicated, iron infusions can provide meaningful clinical improvement.

    Potential benefits include:

    • Faster replenishment of iron stores compared with oral supplementation

    • Improved energy and reduced fatigue

    • Better exercise capacity and endurance

    • Improved cognitive clarity and concentration

    • Reduction in symptoms related to iron deficiency

    • Avoidance of gastrointestinal side effects common with oral iron

Many patients seeking iron infusions in Edmonton come to TruMed because they want efficient treatment with careful medical oversight and a personalized plan.

    Side Effects and Safety Considerations

Iron infusions are generally well tolerated, but as with any medical treatment, side effects and risks can occur.

Possible temporary side effects may include:

    • Metallic taste during infusion

    • Mild nausea

    • Headache

    • Flushing

    • Muscle or joint aches

    • Temporary changes in blood pressure

    • Mild discomfort at the IV site

Serious allergic reactions are uncommon but possible. For this reason, all iron infusions at TruMed are administered in a monitored clinical setting under medical supervision.

When Iron Infusions May Not Be Appropriate

Iron infusions are not appropriate for everyone. They may not be recommended in certain circumstances, including:

    • Iron overload disorders

    • Certain active infections

    • Situations where low iron is not the underlying cause of symptoms

Olga’s internal medicine background allows her to carefully evaluate whether symptoms truly reflect iron deficiency or whether other medical factors should be investigated.

Hormone Replacement Therapy and TRT in Edmonton

In addition to leading TruMed’s iron therapy program, Olga also provides advanced assessment and treatment for hormone replacement therapy in Edmonton and TRT in Edmonton.

  •

Using blood-based hormone testing alongside a detailed clinical evaluation, Olga assesses candidacy for hormone optimization based on both laboratory findings and symptoms.

At TruMed, her focus is individualized, evidence-informed care aimed at restoring physiologic balance rather than simply treating numbers on a lab report.

    Conditions Commonly Evaluated

Patients often seek assessment for symptoms such as:

    • Low energy or fatigue

    • Reduced libido

    • Mood changes

    • Brain fog

    • Reduced exercise recovery

    • Loss of strength or muscle mass

    • Sleep disturbance

    • Perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms

    Bioidentical Hormone Therapy Options

Olga’s clinical expertise allows patients access to highly effective hormone therapies that may include:

    • Bioidentical testosterone

    • Bioidentical estrogen

    • Bioidentical progesterone

    • DHEA support when appropriate

For patients searching for TRT in Edmonton, Olga provides careful medical screening, lab interpretation, ongoing monitoring, and individualized treatment planning designed to optimize both safety and outcomes.

    Evidence-Based, Patient-Centered Care at TruMed

Whether you are looking for iron infusions in Edmonton, TRT in Edmonton, or hormone replacement therapy in Edmonton, Olga Muradov combines critical care experience, internal medicine expertise, and precision-based assessment to help patients access safe, thoughtful, and effective care.

Her goal is simple: identify the underlying issue, apply evidence-based treatment, and help patients restore energy, resilience, and long-term vitality.
